1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Sharply, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Sharply Provides
Sharply is an IELTS preparation platform offering practice tasks, feedback, and study tools. It is not affiliated with the British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English.
3. Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use Sharply. One account per person.
4. Communications
By default, we send study reminders (a daily nudge if you haven't practised yet) and a weekly progress report by email to help you stay on track. You can turn either of these off at any time in Settings → Notifications. We may still send essential account and security emails — such as password resets, billing notices, and alerts about suspicious or fraudulent activity — regardless of these preferences. Tip: if our emails land in spam, mark them "Not spam" so future messages reach your inbox.
5. Subscription & Payment
Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. The one-time "Until you pass" plan is a single purchase that grants full access with no recurring charges and no expiry. All payments are processed securely. Refunds are offered within 7 days of purchase if you have not submitted more than 3 tasks.
6. Free Trial
The free tier includes up to 10 AI-evaluated submissions (Writing and Speaking feedback combined). All other practice — Reading, Listening, Vocabulary and Grammar — stays available. After the free evaluations are used, continued AI feedback requires a paid plan. No credit card is required to start.
7. Usage Limits & Fair Use
AI-evaluated submissions (Writing, Speaking and Mock Tests) are subject to a fair-use limit of 100 per day, including on paid plans, to keep the service fast and sustainable for everyone. One account per person; creating multiple accounts to extend free limits, sharing accounts, automated/bot access, scraping, reselling or redistributing content, and attempts to reverse-engineer the feedback system are not permitted and may result in suspension. If you need a higher limit for a legitimate reason, contact support.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content, design, and software belongs to Sharply. Your submitted essays and recordings remain yours — we use them only to provide feedback.
9. Disclaimers
AI-generated feedback is for educational purposes only. Sharply does not guarantee a specific band score. Results depend on individual effort and circumstances.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes by email.
