Pollution is a big problem in cities. Their is many reasons for this, but the most obvious one is that cleaner technology costs money some governments are unwilling to spend. When a factory is forced to cut its emissions, the town around it suffers. It affects to the economy for a time, and a few jobs are lost. In my view, however, the long-term costs of doing nothing are far greater. Governments should do something about it before the damage becomes irreversible.
